Partnerships & Projects

We want to help all kids learn how to swim. Got an idea for future projects? Uswim is interested in partnering with like minded people, please share your ideas with us. See below for projects that we have been involved with in the past To contact us regarding projects, please email

Mauritius 2011

In 2011 Ben from uSwim travelled to the SOS orphanage in Beau Bassin – Mauritius with the aim of teaching swimming to the 98 children who call the centre home. Partnering with the lovely Danielle from Project Dovetail, we were able to not only have a great time learning but more importantly show some of the teachers the fundamentals of swimming so they could continue teaching the children.

World Drowning Conference

The 1st World drowning conference was help in Vietnam in 2011. Nick and Ben from uSwim attended to raise awareness for uSwim’s free service and its application in countries which do not have professional lessons or families who cannot afford lessons.

Nile Swimmers Project

uSwim has provided free training materials for the Nile swimmers Project, an inspiring organization run by two British guys, Tom and Dan. After meeting in Vietnam, they suggested that we could help them out with some materials that could help young children and parents learn the basics of breath control and floating.

Mauritius 2012

uSwim was thrilled to be able to follow up our trip to Mauritius a year later (2012)  to see the children and continue ‘training the trainers’ on swimming fundamentals. Once again the children were amazing and it is pleasing to say they were genuinely better at swimming from the 1st trip. I believe the emphasis on floating well had payed off and most children were far more relaxed.
