I was at the pool today and had a chance to see Lily finishing her 300m Swim. It’s hard to believe that she is just 3 years old- Lily’s stroke development is well beyond her years!
What do you think it takes to achieve this stroke at such a young age?
I believe the fundamentals of swimming such as Breath Control and Kicking are as equally important as the actual stroke. The Aquatic Achievers program teaches children basic skills in small amounts, allowing them to master each new skill before moving to the next stage. I have been teaching kids to swim this way for 43 years, and now Daniel Coyle’s book “Talent Code” proves my method of teaching the basic skills in small chunks, until they are mastered.
